What: Walk Thru the Bible has been doing Old Testament Seminars for almost 30 years. It is a 4 ½ hour program that does a chronological survey of the history of the Old Testament. It is like no other seminar you have attended. It is done creatively with a lot of crowd interaction and fun. We have also developed a keyword system to help remember the main topics of each book of the Old Testament. We also help people make sense of the divided kingdom era and the prophets. We incorporate 77 hand signs to help people remember the major presentation points as well as several spiritual applications. We include the gospel as well as other areas to make a commitment. 85% of all attendees make a commitment to read their Bibles daily (66% actually follow through) and about 3% accept Christ. Website: www.walkthru.org for more info and video promo.
Where: Old Testament Seminars can easily be brought to your church, camp or school. Living Waters Bible Camp (near La Crosse, WI) will also be happy to host this event for your organization.
When: Anytime that fits into your schedule (I need about 4 ½ hours of teaching time.) My schedule is somewhat flexible. The majority of churches do this seminar on Sundays (30-45 minutes during the Sunday AM worship services and 4 hours in the afternoon.) The next most popular format is Saturday morning into early afternoon. We have also done Friday evening and Saturday mornings. If it is a local church or school, this can be done in 3 or 4 sessions (Sunday mornings, Wednesday evenings, etc.)
Who: This seminar is designed for adults down through middle school students. We have a separate track for elementary students which we can book.
Seminar Facilitator: Ned Jondle (lives near La Crosse, WI) – Bio: Operations Manager at Living Waters Bible Camp and former teacher and principal in Christian Schools in Wisconsin. Ned has a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and a bachelor’s in teaching. Has been in full-time Christian service for 20 years.
Cost: There is a booking fee that depends on the size of the church, travel expenses and a guaranteed minimum for attendance. Then there is the cost per person for the seminar which also includes a book. Generally the booking fee starts at $450 for smaller churches and $17 per person for attendance. The guaranteed minimum starts at 40 and goes up for the larger churches.
My desire is to minister to people. I want people to grow in the Lord and better understand the Old Testament. This is a non-threatening event for non-believers and a great review for the long-term stalwarts. The pricing is negotiable and I don’t want cost to prevent me from ministering to your church, school or camp.
