Jediah Partenheimer has been a long time camper at Living Waters Bible Camp and has returned this fall to join camp's LEAD program for the year.  I sat down with Jediah and asked him about his decision to come to camp for a year.

How did you first find out about LWBC?
"I came here as a camper once and many times as a family camper.  My dad helped during Work Week and building projects.  My grandfather also helped a lot with carpentry.  I was down here every year for family camp since long before I can remember."

Why is camp special for you?
"Camp is a place to serve the Lord.  I don't worry about physical needs and a busy schedule.  When I am here all I have to do is serve the Lord.  I can just be here and have joy in that.  It takes out all the useless things I don't really need and puts in the important things."

Why do you want to come serve at camp for a whole year?
"I want to come and learn about the Lord and how to serve.  More specifically, I want to learn ministry to kids, like hands on activities with kids for the purpose of reaching them for Christ."

How do you think you will grow personally?
"I feel like I have already grown.  I am already teaching Outdoor Survival class to students.  It's my responsibility to teach kids information in a certain amount of time.  The practice of talking and teaching in front of a group of students has been a new challenge."

How do you see yourself better equipped by LWBC?
"I will definitely be more prepared to serve at camp or serve anywhere such as youth groups.  Just having a humble heart helps in so many other areas of life."

What do you want to do in the future?
I would like to do the Telios program at LWBC for more a intensive Bible Study program.

What should everyone know about you?
-long thoughtful pause-  "...I live in Wyoming."

How about your Tae Kwon Do?  Brag about yourself a little.
"I am really involved in Tae Kwon Do.  I have competed in many competitions like the Montana State Games, and Montana Open Invitational.  I won a double first place in sparring.  I was asked to travel to Korea for more training but I felt the Lord telling me to come to camp."

Please join us in welcoming Jediah to Living Waters Bible Camp.  God has blessed us with this servant hearted young man.  He is a hard worker and has a passion for working with children while sharing the love of Jesus!
