Family Camp

Today's family is pushed and pulled in every direction--moving too fast and never finding time to rest and regroup.  At Living Waters our focus is on training and equipping you as a family in the fun and relaxing setting of camp.  Take this week to step out of the busy world and refocus on God's purpose for you and your family.

A unique feature of a Living Waters Family Camp is our Kid Kaddie Program (family camp only).  Your family will be assigned one of our volunteer staff members, who will help when you need it most.  Kid Kaddies provide an extra set of hands while going through the food line, someone to push a stroller or to stay at the dorm with a sleeping baby.  Your Kid Kaddie is here to help your family have a great camp experience.

No need for cooking or doing dishes this week!  We offer delicious and plentiful home cooked meals.  All meals and special snacks are included.

The Green's will be leading interactive sessions on Parenting.  Lessons learned from the Bible and their personal experiences will give you many take-aways to add to your own parenting tool kit.

Session #1:  What Your Child Needs From You as a Parent: God is the author and designer of family. In this session we look at some Biblical principles for raising children in the wisdom of the Lord.

Session #2:  Multigenerational Parenting and the Great Commission: This session explores how to leave a lasting legacy through your family that can have an eternal impact.

Session #3:  Growing in Grace as a Family: We are saved by grace, but what does it mean to grow in grace? In this session we will look at how to grow in the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Don & Jodi 2016.jpg

Don and Jodi grew up three miles apart from one another in eastern Iowa. They first met at the Baptist Church they both attended.

Don earned a B. A. in education from the University of Northern Iowa and a M. A. in Theology from Moody Graduate School. Jodi earned a B. A. in education from Western Illinois University where she attended on a softball scholarship.

Upon graduation from college in 1985 Don joined the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ International (now called Cru in the U. S.). Jodi joined the full-time staff of Cru in 1994 after they were married.

Don and Jodi were married in October 1994. Nine months and two days later they welcomed, their first child, into the world. One year later they moved to the country of Slovenia where they spent the next twenty years of their lives serving the Lord as missionaries and raising their six kids.

While in Slovenia Don and Jodi worked with FamilyLife, a branch of Cru that reaches out to families. Though they are passionate about helping others raise their children in the wisdom and knowledge of the Lord, their real burden is for people to hear the destiny changing words of eternal life found only in their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Currently Don and Jodi are living near LaCrosse, Wisconsin and working with Faculty Commons, a branch of Cru reaching out to college professors.
