INFORMATION

Join us for the 2018 Ladies Retreat from September 7th-9th.  This will be an opportunity to train and better equip your walk with the Lord.  We’ll study God’s Word as we enjoy fellowship and fun activities.  Best of all, take time to relax in the peaceful valley of Living Waters Bible Camp.

Theme

Hope...Renew...Soar - Isaiah 40:31

I don’t know about you, but sometimes life feels complicated.  Most days I feel like I am more than a little in over my head. Then, I remember that God invites me to trust Him, to cast all my cares on Him.  So, I do. At least for a minute or two. How do we grow in our ability to trust God and keep on trusting Him more? Is He truly trustworthy? How do I silence all the ‘what ifs . . .’ I hear in my head?  God’s Word is filled with stories and promises of His utter faithfulness to us. Christ Himself is the perfect demonstration of God’s faithfulness. Let’s explore God’s Word together and spur each other on to greater dependence on Him who loved us and gave Himself for us.

 Melody Richeson

Melody Richeson

Melody lives in Wichita, Kansas.  She has a dog, Gracie, who takes Melody for regular walks! Melody is a huge tennis fan and when she can, she plans her schedule around Wimbledon and the U.S. Open.  She loves spontaneity. One of her favorite things is when people show up at her front door when she isn’t expecting them!  (Yes – this is some women’s worst nightmare!) She also enjoys a good cup of coffee with a lot of cream, anything written by C.S. Lewis, and she is currently addicted to NCIS. She is single.  She tells people that she hasn’t met the right man...Yet. One of her life verses is: “You, Lord, are all I have. You give me everything I need. My future is in your hands.” Psalm 16:5 (Today’s English Version)

Melody was on staff with Christian Challenge for 15 years, spending 6 years at California State University in Chico and 9 years at the University of Nebraska. She then spent 7 years on staff serving with Focus International. Currently, she is leading a ministry called Alongside Women that is devoted to equipping the next generation of collegiate staff women.

SILENT AUCTION

The silent auction is back again! It is an exciting privilege for us to support the ministry of Josh and Julie Sanner and the Camper Scholarship Fund at Living Waters.

 Sanner Family

Sanner Family

Josh Sanner grew up as a missionary kid in Mexico, a camp staff kid in Wisconsin and a preacher's kid in Alaska. At 17, he attend Emmaus Bible College, then returned to Alaska where he obtained his private pilot license and began to build a ministry to serve Christian leaders through time in the outdoors to refocus on Christ. During this time, he met and married his bride, Julie, a life-long Alaskan who was serving with SEND North with indigenous people of Alaska. The Lord has continued to refine and redirect Josh's vision for service. This is the 7th summer Josh has served with Samaritan's Purse in their Operation Heal Our Patriots program as a guide for wounded veterans (since 2011) and their spouses located in Port Alsworth, AK. Three years ago, Josh realized that God was leading him to return to Emmaus to earn a degree in counseling and now seminary for his Master's degree in counseling. This August, Josh will transition from a summer of ministry in Alaska to his first of three years at Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas. Josh and Julie desire to serve God's servants through counseling wherever God may take them and their family, whether back to Alaska or around the world. They are joyfully raising 3 young sons.

If you’re interested in donating a basket to the silent auction, bring it to camp when you come. Contact Jenny Thompson with questions. Come ready to shop and to make a difference for God’s kingdom.
