Omega Camp may be the last camp that Living Waters holds during the summer, but it is certainly not the least.

Getting spiritually recharged!
Find out what Living Waters does year round!
Preseason is just a few days away and the team will assemble at camp soon. Preseason training will be intense but the team will be ready when the regular season opens. Opening day will be here before we know it! No, I’m not talking about baseball, I’m talking about the 2017 Living Waters Bible Camp Summer Staff. June 7th marks the arrival of our exceptional team members who will be serving this summer.
Fifteen young people will commit the next 2 and half months of their lives to serving the Lord at camp. Their duties will vary from answering phones to facilitating nature programs. Each one will go through a week and a half of training, while a few first timers will continue for two more weeks of training in Foundation Camp. All of this training will prepare the team for seven weeks of intense service.
Please pray for these young people. Serving on Summer Staff can be one of the most spiritually and physically challenging experiences of a lifetime. Pray that the team has hearts and minds prepared to continue the mission and goals of camp, and that they stay focused throughout the summer.
This year’s staff includes; Lydia Dietz in Guest Services, Jmee Felten in Dorm/Kitchen, Aubrey Hart in Photography, Rebekah Loew in Program, Kellyn Maurer in Marketing/Media, Lydia Siler in Program, Jacob Campbell in Program, Kristin Green in Program, Caleb Hadley in Program, Ethan Hart in Video, Makala Willette in Kitchen, Joelle Cannon in Office.
If you would like to contribute to these young adults serving at camp please visit the donor page. We hope you make it down to camp this summer to meet each one of them!
Marriage and Family Retreat success.
Uninterrupted time. Purposeful activities. Biblical teaching. God's creation.
All of the above listed were experienced by mothers and daughters in the Living Water's peaceful valley.
Our speaker Tara Chamberlain, who is a new friend to camp, encouraged us during three sessions to always rejoice, pray without ceasing and continually give thanks. Tara gave many examples of ways to apply these words from 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 by developing daily "home habits."
The 78 participants made the most of the programmed events. Each mother and daughter enjoyed a time of reflection and prayer during the night hike on the Mockingbird Trail. We again hosted a "Mother-Daughter Dinner Date" on Saturday night and encouraged the moms and girls (and a few grandmas!) to exchange love letters over a delicious home made pizza dinner. We continued our themed "slumber party" dinner by having a popcorn with candy buffet and a relaxing movie night.
Despite the warmer temperatures, the guests enjoyed being outside in the melting snow and even made the best of it by having a snowman building contest!
The retreat was carefully and prayerfully planned and guests and volunteers were blessed by the weekend at Living Waters.
Pray Like You Mean It!
Prayer was the theme of the 2016 Winter Recharge. I must admit, with such a warm fall season, I was a bit nervous about the possibilities of winter conditions for Winter Recharge. I prayed for good weather, lots of campers and spiritual growth. Praise God, He is faithful and brought all three. 55 campers and 29 volunteers attended Winter Recharge with a focus on "Pray Like You Mean It."
Watch this camper interview to hear first hand how Living Waters impacted their lives.
If you walk through any store right now, you will begin to see Christmas decorations going up. Yes, it's early, but ready or not, winter is on its way. As fall ends and winter starts, our focus at camp turns to Winter Recharge, one of our favorite events at camp! Winter Recharge is like a summer camp reunion for 6-12th grade campers, bringing back campers for a spiritual "recharge".
As our last event for the Remember Your Creator theme, it will surely be a special time to recap the importance of knowing God in your youth and putting Him first in your life. Dave Hart will be our speaker. He will challenge campers with a message of commitment and growth to be more Christ like.
No winter event is complete without a friendly game of broomball, a graceful time of ice skating and a brisk afternoon of skiing at Mt. Lacrosse. Returning campers will want to bring a friend to enjoy these adventures.
At the end of the retreat, if tradition continues, we reserve the special privilege of seeing the new, 2017 brochure, for Winter Recharge campers only! Check out the new look and see if your picture made it.
Registration is open now! Be sure to reserve your spot today by clicking here. The registration deadline is December 15th! Hope to see you there.
